I witnessed these guyz down at The Boardwalk in Sheffield and gotta say that Billy F. Gibbons was right as they were the 'Closest I've Seen' too.

You can't beat a trio that plays numbers like 'Nasty Dogs & Funky Kings'; Party On The Patio'; 'Thunderbird' and 'Francine' -
The are just what the real Top fans ordered !!

You were fantastic in Lindos this year. It was an absolute pleasure meeting you. Can't wait to see you again next time you are back up to the North East. I've joined your mailing list so I'll know when you are up here.

Keep on rockin'

Hi,
Pleased you liked the you tube vids. I got the whole show. Great you’re back @ Kyps this week too. I’ll be down there for sure with so far 3 mates but I’m putting the word out so hopefully there will be more in our group.
Thanks too for a blinding show. I’ve been to see loads of tribute bands and you guys take the top prize. Not only sounding but also looking so authentic.
I’ll bring you a dvd of the last show, looks and sounds great on a large screen HD telly. I hope the Wembley ZZ dvd played ok for you too?

See ya at the end of the week.

Rock On…..Geoff.

The ZZ Tops AT RHODES ROCK 2010

The Tops could very well BE ZZ Top. They walk it like they talk it and I can't imagine there is a better tribute than these guys.

Playing a set interspersed with greatest hits and deeper tracks. There could not have been a better start to the festivities. Starting with Got Me Under Pressure and storming through Sharp Dressed Man, My Head's In Mississippi, Legs and Gimme All Your Lovin, they also included Francine and Party On The Patio.

Highlight: La Grange/Tush

DARREN REDDICK..... PLANET ROCK RADIO

Not only did Linda & I have the dubious(!) pleasure of sitting next to these guys there & back on the flights to & from Werdohl, but we witnessed first hand, what everyone else has known for quite some time. That these guys are the finest ZZ Top-alike band period! The beards, are real, the music is real, the beer drinking & hell raising is very real!! Not only that but they are dynamite blokes too. We'll be back for more - Hell yeah!
Thanks.

Regards,
Grant

What a fantastic gig at Bromley on Friday! The place was rocking! Next time your playing behind the bar mines a Vodka and Coke! My family and I had a brilliant night and cannot wait to see you guys again. For all you who are sceptical about tribute bands, go to see ZZ Tops you will be blown away!

I saw them at the Topic in Ruislip on 9/4/10.
So utterly authentic its painful.
Great sounds.
Like the real thing.
Only you can get close enough see what's going on on the fretboard.
The closest you will get to seeing the real thing in a bar without time travel.

Saw your show at Tropic @ Ruislip on Friday 9th April. It was brilliant. Like having ZZ Top play in your own front room, so intimate was the gig. You had the look, the gestures, the mannerisms, the sound, the interaction with the crowd, the customised mike stands and even the furry geeetars! Great performance. Better than the real thing. If anyone had walked into that gig halfway though, they would have thought they had stumbled on a secret warm-up gig by ZZ Top. Look forward to seeing you again in November.

I'm soooooooo looking forward to June when hopefully I'll be a meetin' and a greetin' at Rhodes Rock for Eddie. I'm gonna put a post on my site about you guys again a bit nearer the time, because, like I said, no flattery here, just sincerity, You guys are the real deal!! I wanted to see the real ZZ Top for decades and when I got the chance to watch you last year I was genuinely blown away and it fulfilled a dream. Like there's people out there who say, "tribute bands? yuk!' I always reply, "Listen, if you go to a concert hall and listen to Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 5 the "Emperor" concerto, I don't think you're gonna see Ludwig Van up there on stage, so why do you go? It's because you want to hear the great deaf one's music played right. So it's the same with a good tribute band and to me they don't come any better than the ZZ Tops!"
John

Saw you in December, blinding as ever, but sorry I could not make the Xmas gig, for a local cause as well (your a bunch of softies really? but well done!)
Catch you in the West Country soon, but I do spend time in Essex as well for family reasons (rarely gigs up there?)
Working on the Missus to do Rhodes this year and get blasted big time
Keep the faith and they will come (aka Wayne's World funniest films ever?)

Saw you guys last night in birmingham...magnificent!!!! spoke to nick afterwards and congratulated him on his tone...gotta have the tone baby!!! it's obvious that the band are genuine fans of the tops because they include the more obscure tracks in there as well as the favourites.keep doing what you're doing and play in the midlands more!! (leicester) !!!

Hi Guys

Thanks for the update.
Saw you at Applebys on Saturday, usual high standard well done!
Will sport the T shirt next time! Yet to play the DVD am sure its spanking.
Speaking of which I cannot make your gig at my home town of Southend but catch up later in the year.
Rhodes is firmly on my mind now so who knows I could shock you next year - sounds great!
Never stop rocking from

Great to see you guys at the ZZ Top gig yesterday evening! Loved Steel Panther :-) and the ZZs were great but I hate to say it, you guys are better than the real thing! The Forest of Dean ZZ Tops fans will now start the campaign to get you to play at Glastonbudget :-) Shame we can't make Swindon but will definitely be there for your Bristol gig in January :-) Keep it "real".

(29/10/09)
I'm not one to exaggerate, but you guys are awesome!!!Have a good winter and see you in June at Rhodes Rock 2010!
